Leadership

Leadership is not about position. It is about responsibility.

Throughout her career, Dr I. Stephanie Boyce CBE FKC has led during periods of significant change, uncertainty and challenge. From leading one of the world’s oldest professional bodies during a global pandemic to championing access to justice, social mobility and inclusion, her leadership has been defined by service, resilience and a commitment to creating opportunities for others.
For Stephanie, leadership is not measured by titles or positions. It is measured by the ability to build trust, inspire confidence and leave institutions stronger than they were found.

Leadership Principles
Lead with Purpose - Leadership begins with values. Organisations and individuals are at their strongest when their decisions are guided by purpose,  integrity and service.
Build Trust - Trust is the foundation of every successful institution. Leaders must earn confidence through consistency, transparency and accountability.
Create Opportunity - Talent exists everywhere, but opportunity does not. Leadership carries a responsibility to remove barriers and create pathways for others to succeed.
Embrace Change - Periods of uncertainty require courage, adaptability and resilience. Effective leaders create stability while helping others navigate change.
Leave a Legacy - Leadership is ultimately about stewardship — ensuring that organisations, communities and institutions are stronger for future generations.

As her leadership has evolved, P.U.S.H. has also come to represent: Perseverance. Understanding. Stewardship. Hope and Humanity.

"It took four attempts to become president. I kept trying because I was driven by a belief that leadership should reflect the society it serves, not personal ambition alone. "
